Current mood:  IntrospectiveMonday, September 10, 20073:32PM - Biblical MusingsI have been reading the Tanakh for recreation lately (for those who don't know, that's the Hebrew acronym for Torah- the five books of Moses, Nevi'im- Prophets, Ketuvim- writings). I have rediscovered several aspects of this book that I knew I liked but forgot about. The first is Psalm 137. If you have not read it, read it NOW. In my opinion Psalm 137 displays human nature in an amazingly profound manner. People are represented as the spiteful creatures that we are, while at the same time, the psalm itself is amazingly touching, or at least, powerful.
